Nikki began painting, quite by accident, at 30. She was asked to replicate an icon of 'The Trinity' by Russian iconographer Andre Rubalov, the painting took 3 months to complete. The replica was so popular it sparked a series of both copies and original design icon commissions which are still on display in churches both in the UK & USA. Nikki left the Roman Church and ceased painting for 12 years until, in 2013, a surge of creative energy engulfed her, after an emotional trauma, hence "Something Out Of Nothing" was born. Keen to explore various creative avenues Nikki tried her hand at photography, which she shared via social media. Positive feedback from friends and family encouraged her to experiment, with her camera, as a medium to present the stark contrasts of industry and nature in a beautiful way and of course she carried on painting, gained more commissions and her paintings found themselves on display in art galleries!

"A piece of art is more than just an image in front of you it could connect with your soul and challenge your emotions. It should touch your life. Like music, a piece of art will, if you let it, talk you to your soul. It can create a feeling in you that will trigger an emotion, a memory, it can draw you in and transport you anywhere you wish to go. If I can create such a piece, if I can touch a soul, then I know the gift bestowed upon me is being shared and I am complete."
