Hi, my name is Cat and I started my upcycled and vintage jewellery business, SustainaBeads, during the first Covid lockdown in April 2020. My aim is to rescue and recycle the world's unwanted jewellery, restoring vintage pieces and upcycling unwanted and broken pieces into gorgeous new jewellery that you'll wear again and again!
I have suffered with anxiety since I was a young child, but everything intensified following the traumatic premature birth of my eldest daughter in 2014. It wasn't until I was pregnant with my second daughter in 2018 that I was eventually diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and severe anxiety. Creative hobbies have always been my happy place to relax and find solace and I truly believe that having the business to ground me during the pandemic kept me going.
