My name is Lara, and I have enjoyed trying different types of crafts through the years. I have found that the crafts I enjoy the most, are Macrame crochet and pyrography.
I have not done anything professionally before, but I am eager to try, especially as it is supporting SooN which is a project close to my heart. I have some close friends who have escaped abusive environments, and crafts with like minded people who support each other, is an extremely valuable asset to the local community.
A little about me and why I enjoy crafting so much, when I was a child my mum had a series of abusive relationships. Although I was never at the receiving end of the physical abuse, her boyfriends belittled and put me down, which made me feel that nothing i did was good enough and I wouldn't amount anything.
This is ingrained into my character and has affected my whole life. It is now with the support of my husband and friends that I am working improve my confidence in myself and my ability to create.
