Yvette has been making vibrant, colourful children’s clothing since 2011 when she taught herself how to sew, so that she could make her new born son a patchwork quilt for Christmas, she’s been hooked ever since!
Having moved to Wales following some traumatic times in her life, she found great solace in creativity and sewing in particular. It was at a time when much healing was needed and she would often stay up sewing into the early hours, while her children were fast asleep! Putting the colourful patterns of the fabric together and adding all the little finishing touches provided so much joy, She would loose herself in a world of fabric, threads, buttons and lace!
Yvette’s three children who were all young at the time were the inspiration behind the creations to begin with, but she soon had commissions from friends and family. When she was confident in her sewing abilities she started selling her creations on a market stall and then in local shops and now she also takes her creations to music festivals in the summer.
